You did a marathon in the time it took me to complete Tough Mudder. Well I did it in 5 hours. BUT 26 miles in 6 something hours is amazing! Be proud of your accomplishment and REST that knee! I feel like I did the marathon with you! So cool to experience it like that from first hand view!

I admire your ability and willingness to bear the pain to complete the race.

You have amazing willpower and strength. Good job. Remember, you did a lot of walking around the day before, so your legs and knee might not have been as rested as usual. Wonderful race report!

Wow.. I really felt like I lived the race through your report. I'm a bit bummed that you called your time "laughable".... you DID it! and as your first its an automatic PR... and if you do another one (and hopefully w/o knee issues) you will beat this first time.

Congratulations! I love your perseverance! I ran the HM the day before. It was so humid! I thought me knee and side of leg were going to explode on
Mile three... I think it was the road ramps! Tightened my quads and IT band up big time - I am still in PT!!

Where does your group meet in Maryland?

Great race report! Everyone who contemplates running a marathon should read it. By the way, may I suggest that you should've started eating chocolate much, much earlier in the race?

PS: Hope you figure out what's going on with your knee.
