Adarkara's Adventures in ONEderland - Chapter One

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

So I'm settling into ONEderland quite nicely. It's a great neighborhood, my new house is super cute, and there are so many places to shop! I'm quite comfortable here so far. I thought I'd list some NSVs for you from my weekend.

* I was in bed with my husband Sunday afternoon (think what you will, you're probably right emoticon ) and as I lay on my back my stomach looked and felt soooo flat! I felt sexy and slim!

*My cousin told me I am now thinner than my other cousin, who is about my height. (I kind of felt bad for feeling so good about this!)

*I apparently bought JUNIORS size large leggings from Target (size on the back says it will fit an 11-13) and they fit! (I'm wearing them in my newest pic)

*People are coming to me and asking me what my secret is, lol. I find this funny because there is no magic wand, just discipline, measuring and tracking, tracking tracking! Several people I know are not hopping on the healthy bandwagon.

*People are telling me I'm an inspiration. I'm truly flattered by this because I'm not out looking to inspire people, I'm just trying to make myself healthy and look good. What a positive side effect! It only encourages me to do better.

Okay so now onto the scale: 198.6 this morning! Super happy I broke that Stevia In The Raw induced plateau. It was driving me crazy!

Happy light report: I'm pretty sure my happy light is my new favorite miracle toy. I've been using it every morning for 20 minutes while I goof off here on SP, and I've been much more happy and positive.

I want to thank everyone so much for all the support I've been getting these last few months! I struggled for a good four weeks and now things are moving along properly again, so hopefully I will be getting back to hardcore encouraging all of you soon!

And I got the 28 Day Bootcamp that I won on the Spark Wheel so I'm going to try to check that out this week and give it a bit of a review.

Yesterday I barely made my bottom range number. For some reason I was just not hungry! I'm not real hungry today either. I'll call it a small miracle since I usually stay *just* within calorie range.

Have a great day Sparklers!

You are totally rocking it out! It does sound like the happy light is making a BIG difference for you. Congrats on Onederland (sorry I missed your earlier post on it) and YAY for smaller clothes. Since those are more likely to go on clearance, that means more clothes for more $$$!

Awesome NSVs! I'm so glad to hear the Happy Light has been doing it's job! So here's a bunch of quick, incoherant replies to stuff:

Junior's sizing?!? CRAZY AWESOME!

Stevia: Who knew? That's so weird! Lately, I'm thinking that substitutes aren't a good thing unless you have a food allergy. I only eat real butter now.

More super model than your cousin: heh heh heh heh

You are outstanding, and the biggest inspirations are usually the people that don't necessarily set out to do that. You did it for the right reasons which is you and your health, which makes you a double inspiration! Congrats! Save me a spot next to you in Onederland, I've been trying FOREVER, but I'll get there if it kills me LOL. emoticon emoticon

The number on the scale is great, but it's all those wonderful NSV's that really make the weight loss so much FUN!!

I too find the "What is your secret" question funny. As we know the "secret" is hard work. We all want a quick fix, some advantage that will make it easy! Well there is no secret or quick fix or magic pill. There is only dedication, effort and hard work.
Congratulations on your success. Remember to keep going and do not stop your efforts.

As someone who has lost 110 pounds and then regained the 110 pounds plus another 45 for a grand total of 155 pounds, I can assure you that the maintenance mode must be maintained for the rest of your life.
