2.19.13 update

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Well, I promised myself that I'd consider myself in 'maintenance' as long as I didn't fluctuate more than 2 pounds, up or down. And then the scales showed 3 pounds up. So, that's where it stops.

It coulda been this (a day of riding without enough water) or it coulda been that (a whole lot of water and salty food) . . . but it REALLY doesn't matter.
I'm not gonna throw all that initial hard work out the window

I'm back to tracking food and fitness - and measuring my food - all of which keeps me honest and accountable.

It's not a punishment - it's a win/win formula for success!

Great job! I find tracking food so time consuming, but it keeps my mind more focused on the goals.

emoticon Great job on putting the brakes on the gain and not making excuses! 3# is a lot easier to lose than 10#. Keep up the great job!

Good for you for not letting your weight go up too much. Now is the time to stop the upward cycle. You can do it. Keep up the great work.

I think that you are on the right track...

Nipping a gain in the bud is certainly easier than waiting until there's a lot more to deal with.

It's also a chance to keep reinforcing your new, good eating habits.

Good for you!!

You are right, it is not a punishment. No need to freak out, just to be a little more accountable. Im not sure I have ever been in maintenance . I would like to think I would be as vigilant as you have been. Way to go!
