I told myself that I would be better at staying active on SP this year (and maybe not eat so much junk, too) but so far no beans. Right after the new year I got a part time retail job so I could afford my bills and not be so damn poor. Well, I really like having th extra money (even though it's minimum wage...) but jeez Louise does it suck up my time. I haven't been the the gym in about a week and a half and the last time I went it was about a week and a half between gym goings... And with my lack of time has been a lack of proper eating because I'm always rushing to get from job to job, so all too often I find myself grabbing a sub from Subway or a bagel from Dunkin..
BOOOOOOO MARIAH, BOOOOOO.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
GET IT TOGETHER, TUBBY.
Scream the unhelpful voices in my brain.
But the good news---- I was recently hired at a new part time job, much closer to home. I'm currently driving over and hour each way to get to and from work. And my current job is just mentally draining.. I'm kind of burnt out, so even on the days I don't have to work until 9:30 I would rather head straight home and crash instead of going to the gym. My new job, which I start next Wednesday, is literally a 5 minute walk from my house. No driving, no horrendous commutes in bad weather. Just walk there and walk home. And it's higher paying, so between that and spending less money on gas I'll be able to significantly reduce the amount of hours I spend working my lousy 2nd job and GO TO THE GYM.
I wanted to be down 5 pounds by the end of January and here I am mid February with no significant losses to show :( it's so frustrating to think that if I had just worked harder 6,on the ago I could already be crushing towards my goal. But alas, life gets in the way.
And here we are. This is what I've got to work with. This is the best me I've got right now, so it's time to pick it up and move it on out.
