Motivation Is What Gets You Started

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

At first I thought it was going to be a stone drag to have to track all the nutrition but I actually find it empowering because I don't have to rely on my memory.

I find tracking my food is very helpful too. It helps me think about what i am eating instead of mindlessly eating and over eating and emotional eating.

Exactly. And once we change our bad habits into good ones, it won't be anything at all to eat right all the time!

I agree. Another positive side effect of tracking is that I find myself wanting to have a healthy day of eating and stay inside my calorie limits. On a day I have eaten too much, I reluctantly track those extra foods, but then I can go back and figure out what was going on and see if there anything I can do differently the next day.
I was out for lunch on the weekend and literally was thinking how much each food item on the menu would be if I tracked them. Am I track obsessed? emoticon
