Cheers !

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

So I had this big long depressing blog post written, and my computer ate it. Perhaps I should take a hint and try to be a tad less gloomy....

The tail end of winter gets me down the way it drags. But it's not forever. Spring will come in just a little while. And while I do need to do better with my exercise, I have improved my water intake and tracking. And I am still losing weight. I recently celebrated the milestone of reaching the halfway point to my goal. I've lost more than 55 pounds !

The time spent with my mother in law at hospice has been a blessing. I'm sorry to see what the family is going through, but she is in a wonderful place. Her pain is controlled and her family is around her and she and I are closer than we've ever been.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective...

So CHEERS and good health to you all !!!

Congratulations on being halfway to your goal! Try lifting 55 pounds and reallt see how much that is...
Also, good for you turning around a down blog into one that looked at your blessings, like being able to grow closer to your MIL.
I wish I could say this is the tail end of the winter here. Because I live on Cape Cod, our spring is delayed by the coolness of the ocean water (the reverse happens in the fall - it can be quite warm - relatively speaking - until the end of November).

Awwwww, blessings to your MIL. And blessings to you too! I feel the same way about the tail end of winter . . . just drags on! But I look @ the 2 minutes more of daylight we get each day and it helps so much! I do think exercise is key to feeling bteter too. So keep working on that.

Most importantly, congratulations on being 1/2 way towards your goal! 55 lbs. gone -- kicked to the curb. Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!11
