Happy Family Day! Mine was Happy. :)

Monday, February 18, 2013

I hope all those who had the day off...really enjoyed it and made the best of their time. Yesterday, I spent the day with my family. It was my nieces 14th birthday. I wore my pedometer and burned a lot of calories playing with all the kids. My energy level is up and I'm so happy about that!

Today, my bf's kids were spending the day. I wore my pedometer and so far I complete over 8,500 steps! emoticon
I planned to go to the gym with my brother, but seemed to have all worked out in the end. I enjoyed the kids, I burned lots of calories, and I have almost 500 squats to catch up on...so more calories will be burned. No gym required today! :)

It has taken me over a month to figure things out again. I have made a lot of changes, but seen little results at first. Now my focus is on 100% accountability for the good and bad throughout each day. What this means is: Measuring, weighing, logging, monitoring accurate numbers for all activities. It is nice that they have a general number we can use here on Sparkspeople. It's even better to log your personal number of calories burned. I have come to realize that I'm more active then I report on a daily basis!

I have not been eating the amount of calories for my activities during the day!
I will be wearing my pedometer EVERY day from this day forth. I will be wearing my heart rate monitor during all exercises at the gym and at home challenges. This way the number's will be accurate and I will really know how many calories a really do burn a week.

The amount of calories a day had to be adjusted today. I will eat what is recommended on a daily basis. By doing all the above I expect to see big changes. There are only weeks left before my brother's wedding (April 6). I'm the best woman and I was told to wear black. I would love to treat myself to a awesome dress a few sizes smaller than I am. This is my short term goal.

Getting more accurate numbers is definitely the way to go. It is a clear path to achieving the goals you set- very achievable by the way. Make sure you eat too, because you are burning a ton of calories right now. You are doing so well!! Thanks for sharing emoticon emoticon

Sounds like you had a great day with your family! Nothing like kids to get us moving and burning those calories in a fun way!
It is a challenge to find that right balance of calories in and activities done so that you lose weight and inches. To me it sounds like you are doing alot! As crazy as this sounds, are you getting enough calories?
Good luck with your goal. It's an honor to be best woman at your brother's wedding and there's nothing like a little black dress to motivate us!
You can do this!!!!

SP definitely gives you a general number, some activities seem high (stationary bike), while others are really low (ST). Wearing your heart rate monitor will definitely give you more accurate numbers.
