Week-o Numero Uno...

I just posted my first blog ever.. Really, ever! ..a few seconds ago, and here be-eth my second blog..EVER. lol
For my first week on my "In It to Win It" Journey.. I decided that will be my official "journey" name.. I'm going to start off with a food fast, sticking only to grapefruit, green smoothies and water for then next seven days, 2/19-25. Thats right, one large grapefruit for breakfast, and green smoothies and water the rest of the day. I KNOW this will be VERY challenging, but I'm.. yup, In It to Win It.. Why fast? Well, the Lenten season started last week, and I've decided to take up fasting one week a month, starting this week.
My first day's smoothie are all ready to go and contains apples, an orange with pith (the pith contains highest concentration of nutrients like flavonoids), celery, parsley, cilantro, cucumber, romaine lettuce, and water. Refreshingly tasty, I might say.. Made a total of 64oz.
For my exercise routine this week, I'm going to keep it light because I'm having only the smoothies and I don't want to cause any issues by overworking myself. I'll most likely just walk for lunch and/or the treadmill at home, nothing strenuous.. Next week, I'll start up the real workout routine.
I decided on a fast to start off my journey because of the spiritual and healthful benefits. I will definitely keep you posted on how I'm doing later this week!
