I'm going to attempt to cook up food, separate them into correct portion sizes and freeze. With the husband deployed it seems like a great idea for healthy meals rather than grabbing something fast/small enough to cook for myself/wasting food, etc.
Plus with work when I get home I just don't feel like cooking. Maybe I can even implement it when he gets back home, that way I can still have cooked meals prepared for him even though I'm at work all day and tired when I get home.
Just a thought. Gonna try it and see if it helps any.
Ideas for freezer meals:
--shredded chicken for chicken salad, tacos, etc
--blueberry yogurt cookies
--banana applesauce cookies
--greek yogurt strawberry banana bread
--baked sweet and sour chicken
--mocha protein donuts
--bacon/egg/cheese on english muffin
not all of those at once, obviously but...just something to go on. This way I won't have to skip any meals. I can just grab something for breakfast, lunch and dinner. :)
