This is our '64 Corvair Convertible named Buttercup and she was sold today so another owner can enjoy her now. Her new owner seems very nice and the car will stay in Fl. He promised me he'd take good care of her. We had 6 good years with her, have many trophies and made many friends during the car show years. There is nothing wrong with her, it's just that our circle of Corvair friends has gone away and other interests have taken place now. Rather than just have her sit in the garage it's better that she be driven and enjoyed by someone else. So, we pass her on with love.

Brings back some memories of former rides! ! Its Beautiful! I will bet the new owner will drive her proudly! Love convertibles. My ex fiancee ( whose deceased : before I was married to my present Hubby) was a car enthusiast and owned a 1967 corvair, a red one with a white leather interior ( special order) , and I know how they can be possessive about their cars. He was! It was a beauty! a lot like yours! ( A rich Drs kid; he was Killed in Viet Nam and I alway wondered what happened to his car! He acquired it new and I know he did not have it long! LOved riding in it with the top down! so I know how you feel. Better to be driven than just sit in a garage! Good deed! Glad you enjoyed it! susana

Absolutely a beautiful car. Believe it or not, my first car I owned was a 1961 white Corvair with red interior, except it was not a convertible. It was a 4 door. I loved it and hated to get rid of it. emoticon
