Stepping Up - literally!

I chose to skip my gym workout today. And I don't feel bad about that AT ALL! Why? Because today I had my annual tax-prep meeting with accountant. And his office is in a 13 story office building. For the 3rd year in a row, I chose to take the steps ... From basement to 13th floor and back down ... TWICE! I figure the 35 minutes I climbed stairs counts as a lower body strength workout AND as cardio, too! I did find it harder than last year. Later this afternoon I also took a 25 min. Walk in my neighborhood. It's been a good day, fitness-wise!
Met a cousin for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. Best thing was pear-date high fiber muffin. Kept the salad choices away from high fat things, and did OK on portion control. No dessert. A blueberry pomegranate caffeine-free iced tea was very nice! For dinner, I fixed a new SP recipe -- Healthier Lynn's Vegetarian Pasta Sauce (REALLY GOOD!) and put it over butternut squash ravioli. Served with a nice salad and an apple for dessert. It's been a good day, food-wise.
Tonight I will finish a long snake I'm crocheting for my grandson. Must admit, the cute doll clothes are much more fun to crochet than long snakes ... But grandsons deserve hand-made gifts as much as granddaughters! Finishing the snake will make for a good day, project-wise.
All in all, it has been a GOOD DAY! Hope my SP friends also had a good day!
