Increasing my protein on the go?

This blog is actually more a question for my fellow sparkers out there--how can I get more protein on the go? I am back to work now, so I am trying to plan and pack my lunch as much as possible so I am not raiding the vending machine. As I enter my food into the tracker, I find I am fine with carbs and in the range for fat intake, but way below what I should be taking in for protein.
Along with cheese sticks, does anyone have any suggestions on improving my protein intake?

    I like to spread turkey breast lunch meat with those Laughing COw Lite cheeses and roll them up burrito style for snacks. But then again I am also a fan of meat, cheese, more cheese, peanut butter and hard boiled eggs.

    I always carry a baggie of almonds. One in the glove box and one in my purse.
Not only being protein but they are filling plus yummy, travel well, aren't messy and they go with anything if you do decide to have something else.
28 almonds 166 calories!

    Are you avoiding meat? Greek yogurt or cottage cheese are two of my favorite protein sources. Either one of them combines well with fruit and you can get them fat free. I sometimes mix cottage cheese with some salad dressing and mix that in with lots of salad veggies. I used to use a lot of egg whites, throwing out the yolks, but not so much anymore. I wait until I can figure the yolks in.

    snacks of almonds are great for protein, so are eggs, chicken, and yes peanut butter. do a search of ways to increase protein in meals on SparkPeople. You might find some other great ideas too

    Nuts are a great way to get in healthy fats and proteins! Plus super yummy! I have found that you can cook with them so easily too, throw a few walnuts into a chicken salad sandwich, sear some almonds in oil to pour over asparagus, or just take some in a baggie for on the go. Another REALLY great source of protein for a snack....cottage cheese! YUM! I like it with some fruit like peaches or pears! Hope this helps!

    I bring hard boiled eggs to work. I make a dozen every Sunday & bring 2 to work every day. I peel them at home in the morning & put them in ziplock bags because I don't want to smell up the office:)

    try to have chcken, beans, even peanut butter in your lunch and snacks for protein
