And it cost me 1 Cliff Bar, 2 GU Energy Gels, 20 oz.Powerade Zero, the beginnings of 4 toe blisters, and 4 hours. That's relatively inexpensive for an afternoon's recreation. Other than the blisters, I feel pretty OK, but I'm going to give them a few days off so they don't go crazy on me.
The Strava website where I uploaded from my Garmin said I burned 3,333 calories. The above fuel amounted to 440 calories in addition to the 1800 or so that I normally get from my meals. I think this day puts me back on track after going a little overboard on Valentine's day and my birthday followed by a weekend of entertaining and being entertained.
