today's spark coach was about the all or nothing attitude. What happens when faced with a small slip up, and you give up completely. It's timely, because last night, when faced with going out to dinner instead of eating the planned meal at home, I choose to go with the flow and ended up with Super China All you can Eat Buffet. My first plate showed restraint, beef with broccolli and some noodles. But sitting there, watching the boys eat plate after plate, I gave in and went back for seconds. This morning, I tried to re-create it and track it but I am sure I forgot something. I have resurrected the day by being productive and will make it to the gym today.

    That day is in the past, you cannot fix it or regret it since it is already history.

Just try to modify and think about it and learn from it.

Maybe let the boys go to the ALL THEY CAN EAT ON THEIR OWN .

    You are not going to skip buffets for the rest of your life, so use this as a teaching moment. It is so important to reinforse that the all or nothing approach is unsuccessful and the everything in moderation approach works better. I hope that you had a great holiday Monday!

    Be sure you drink extra water for a couple of days. All my Chinese Restaurants menuj items are loaded with sodium.

    It's like getting a traffic citation for blowing a traffic ligh. Does that mean that you violate all the rules the rest of the day because you've already made a mistake? No. so, that makes total sense to me to start over again after a slip up! Great blog, great attitude. Wishing you much success!

    Good reaction. We all slip from time to time... the getting up and doing it differently the next day is the key!
