Happy President's Day! I hope most of you are enjoying some time off work today. I have been somewhat productive--went for a 6 mile run, washed and cleaned the car, and ran an errand. Now I'm figuring out what to make for dinner, and I just enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and some galia melon. Never heard of it? I hadn't either. Found it at Trader Joe's this week. It tastes like a cross between honeydew and cantaloupe, but it's more similar to honeydew. Pretty tasty!
My husband and I just booked a trip to Cancun...we leave in 2 months! I'm so excited. He and I haven't been on a proper vacation, just the 2 of us, in 7 years! We have gone on some wonderful trips with our families, but we haven't done anything beyond road trips as a couple. We're booked at an all-inclusive resort. There are some really fancy restaurants that have gotten great reviews, 24-hour room service, and of course my favorite, the swim-up bar. :) Everything's included, which means I need to lose about 5 pounds before we go so I won't be upset when I gain 5 pounds there. I had to laugh--there are digital scales in every room. I promise, I won't be going near that scale while I'm there! HA!
So my goals for the next 9 weeks:
-Track food 6 of 7 days/week (staying within calorie range)
-Workout 6 of 7 days/week for at least 30 minutes
-Check in here a few times to keep you guys posted on my progress
