Review of last week's goals:
Oh, man. It was going well, and then one of those viruses going around finally hit me. The good news about that is that food cravings go down. I got to stay home from work two days. Another good thing about it is that I spent some time on this website and found out that I had been targeting the wrong calorie goals. They were based on old targets for weight. I am now below that weight, so the auto-generated nutrition plan was trying to fatten me up. Whew. I'm glad I figured that out and adjusted accordingly. Now, I'm back on track. I got to do lots of nothing, so I'm relaxed and ready to go this week.
Rather than try another do-over, I'm going to change it up a bit because those goals were boring me.
Go to swim class M/W
--Monday was canceled due to President's day. I took two laps around the block instead.
--Wed. class was awesome. My shoulder is still stiff, and my muscles are out of practice, but it felt very natural to be in the water and I even felt comfortable with the depth.
Go to bootcamp class Tu/Th
--Tuesday's class was awesome! I was afraid I might not be able to hang because most everyone is younger. I did ok.
--Thursday's class was great. We had a ton of stations and spent one minute at each with a partner. I was happy it all went well and we all got a good workout.
Strength training on Friday & Sunday
--I've decided to take Friday off. I did take a walk at lunch and I'll shuffle by the beach on Saturday morn.
--Saturday I was away from home most of the day and I let myself sleep in.
--Sunday I went to the gym and did 30 min. cardio + strength training after my family time with Mom and Aunt
I want to watch less TV:
On Thursday evening I will read, sing, dance, house-clean, respond to (e)mail...anything but turn on the TV.
--On Monday night I dedicated an hour to tidy the house. It was great! My honey cooked b/c he had the day off, so it felt very relaxed.
--On Tuesday night actually turned the tv to mute to talk to my honey. It feels more relaxed without the tv buzz. In time, I'm sure that mute will turn to 'off'.
--On Wed. night my husband asked, "Why isn't the TV on." It was a test run for Thursday.
--On Thursday I got home before my honey and I had to keep reminding myself not to turn on the tv as I entered different rooms. Usually I turn on the tv when I enter any room. I listened to the radio until honey got home. Then I turned it off. It was relaxing to pay attention to each other. I liked it. I think he did too.
--On Friday it was I kicked off the girdle. It was nothing but TV, though I did do laundry in the evening b/c I knew Sat/Sun would be busy. Points for forward thinking!
--On Saturday I watched too much TV after we got home and it's ok.
--On Sunday I watched TV while cooking. That's ok.
I want to eat less baked goods:
Limit baked goods to at most one serving a day, less than 200 C.
--On Monday I had only one half of a danish.
--On Tuesday I had only one half of a danish.
--On Wed. I had only one half of a danish in the evening. I should have skipped it b/c I was hungry form swimming and ate too much other stuff.
--On Thursday I had two halves of a danish. I was within calories.
--On Friday I must have been searching for variety b/c I ate too much of too much
--On Saturday we were busy so I didn't eat too badly
--On Sunday I ate too many baked goods.
Pack two fruit/whole grain + fat/protein snack a day to keep the sweets out of my tummy.
--On Monday I had one snack of whole wheat bread and cheese. My meals where healthy.
--On Tuesday I had a similar day to Monday. Except, my lunch was two (healthy--whole grain) snacks b/c the morning bootcamp class took most of my hunger away until the late afternoon.
--On Wed. I ate the produce and snacks, but then went on to eat too much at dinner as it was after my swim. I went over my calorie limits b/c I was so hungry. I should have skipped the danish today. The other stuff I ate was healthy, just too much.
--On Thursday I ate my vegetable heavy lunch and fruit snacks.
--On Friday I ate around 4 servings veg/fruit
--On Saturday I ate around 4 servings of veg/fruit
--On Sunday I ate around 4 servings of veg/fruit
