A few weeks ago I got a phone call from my Doc about my annual blood tests. Turns out I'm in really bad shape. Triglycerides, bad cholesterol, and liver enzymes are all really unhappy with me right now. That phone call scared me badly and I went around and bought a year membership at the gym the next day.
I've been averaging going every other day due to school and travel issues. Haven't lost very much weight, but I've been sleeping better and I've been watching my food intake very carefully. My body seems to be getting a little firmer as well, which makes me happy.
Today, without even thinking about it, as I walked home from the gym I started to jog. I HATE jogging. I'm all broken and crunchy and fat and sweaty and...I got almost half-way before I had to stop for air. All on its own, my body said "I can DO this!" and it did.
I think I'm going to go back tomorrow and see what happens
