Routine

Monday, February 18, 2013

It's Monday and I don't get the day off like a lot of folks, but that is okay! I was actually looking forward to coming back to work today! With a very busy weekend with basketball games and house guests, it was hard to stay on track...but I did! My step-daughter came to visit with my granddaughter and she brought me a belated Valentine's Day gift of flowers, a teddy bear, and a big box of chocolates! I cracked open the box of chocolates and shared them with everyone and didn't eat a single piece. She didn't know I was back on spark and trying to get healthy again.

Then last night, she wanted to take us all out for dinner, to the Spaghetti Factory, which is one of my favorite restaurants. Pasta, bread, butter, and blue cheese dressing...oh my! I declined because I had to pick my youngest daughter and her friend up from the movies, and honestly, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a test like that. All the girls, except for my youngest, had some sister bonding time when they went.

I'm going to miss my granddaughter something fierce. I wish she was closer so I could see her more often, but I have to say, I will be glad to get back into my usual routine, sleep pattern, eating pattern, etc. I'm such a creature of habit. I think that's one of the reasons it took me so long to adjust to being on Spark again, measuring, tracking, etc. But once I got into the swing of it, not doing it really bugs me now. I do not like missing a beat. It helps that I have this Fitbit. It keeps me focused on those numbers. I love it! I'm seriously thinking about buying the bracelet version when it comes out. I don't like taking mine off.

Now, if I can just get my steps in today before the rain hits, I will be good to go. If I do have to go out in the rain, I will, and thank you CBAILEYC for the trash bag suggestion....I will do that!

Happy Monday everyone!! emoticon emoticon

Ahhh, Spaghetti Factory!!! It's been waaaay tooo long! Probably a good thing!

Great job planning ahead! Hope you're able to walk before the rain comes. The sun is still out here but it's trying to hide behind some clouds.

Aha....maybe a cheap rain poncho? I might try that too. I think they sell them everywhere! I might even have one out in our camping trailer!

I was going to suggest something similar to the trash bag emoticon at my not favorite store Wal-mart they sell in the camping sections ....rain jackets ranging in price from $2.00 up....the 2.00 one is just like a trash bag....and the first time I ever walked outside (that mothers day in 2008) that's what I put in when it started to rain.

good job on saying NO to the extras - it is so hard. I am on day three of trying to really get back on track - I figure if I can succeed 2 weeks of really disciplined eating that I will be set up or a great spring and all my summer things will fit well. Let's DO THIS

okay - I'm back - I just saw your potential and I know how awesome it is to get back there - so hang strong and stay focused. DOn't be to hard on yourself but let's find the drive, focus and commitment and DO IT. I KNOW youcan - cause I just did it but I am fighting for the challenge to turn back around and get back on track to my summer weight and beyond. COME ON!!!
