turned anger into something good

Monday, February 18, 2013

My husband is my soul mate, best friend, my everything. So I have been dropping the pounds and working out, and he hasn't noticed. When I mentioned I lost some weight he said he couldn't tell cause he sees me everyday. At first I was angry and hurt. But now I feel inspired to lose more weight. Because when everyone else notices his sexy wife then he will pay closer attention. No matter what I love him...

    Dude. He's in trrrrrooooouuubbbbbllleeee~~~
R>I saw somewhere on Pinterest that it took something like 4 weeks for you to notice change, 8 for family and I think 16 for friends? Some ridiculous amount of time. I can see where Troy is coming from, but man. You just don't say that! The correct answer is "that's great honey!"

I'm glad you're using it as motivation. When we do meet up again and party you're gonna be a hot mama! Just remember that. How about a gym date? I'll go anytime you can and meet you there. =D

Love you girl. Keep at it.

Fifteen pounds is a lot, but I've heard that what ever time it takes for you to personally notice changes, it takes your close friends and family twice that time. That can be hard if you're noticing these changes and you don't here that validated by someone else.

Be gentle and love yourself. One thing I'm realizing on my own journey is I have to choose to love myself and not be dependent on others to make my self esteem go up or down. Way to go with your weight loss and keep it up! He will notice soon enough!

whoa, dude, you even told him and he still didn't encourage you? I did a blog about how I am motivated when I am negged on rather than encouraged, but I still like the encouragement, you know? I hope you told him you were pissed off! Pick your battles, I know, but what do you have to do to get a little support?? Whenever I get my feelings hurt, I try to flip it - are there things in his life that you haven't commented on or supported? The more you support, the more he will too. It sucks you have to be the first one, but that's being the bigger person I guess. :) Have a great day, and I think you look BEAUTIFUL!!

I know the feeling. But if we stop and think about, what he said is true, for a lot of things in life. I didn't notice that my husband and I had gained weight because we see each other daily. then one day, you realize that your clothes don't fit. When I had previously lost weight I didn't notice it until I went to put on some pants I had not worn in a while and the fell off. I am glad the him not noticing your weight lose has inspired you. keep up the good work and keep losing.
