First off, yay me! My first 10 lbs off!
So grocery shopping. Yes, I love grocery shopping. I find it very relaxing and I go normally twice a week.
Since I started changing my eating habits, I find that my grocery shopping is now taking me double the time that I would normally spend there. I read labels more, I'm obssessed with knowing how many calories each one of the thing I'm putting into my cart.
It takes me 15 minutes to pick a dessert for the week! I don't allow myself dessert everyday, so I have to choose carefully! Do I want a piece of cake ? This cake, that cake, how about that donut ?!! How many calories are each, how many time can I have it this week ? I'm walking back and forth between the different desserts... so much temptation.
Then on to frozen dinners I buy to bring at work. Smart Choices, Lean Cuisine, preferably something under 300 calories please. So what will it be, this yummy pasta dish at 290 calories or this beef stew dish at only 190 calories ?
Oh my God, the chips section is coming up, look away, look away... just walk faster, just don't stare at them. They are evil !! That's literally the conversation I'm having with myself.
I still love grocery shopping, I think I'm just a lot more aware of what I'm putting in my body. And also, I know how long I'd have to exercice to burn some of those calories! ha ha! That makes a big difference.
