I finally got to the dietitian this past week. I feel more optimistic about my goals and how to get there now than I have ever felt before. We reviewed what I was eating and she gave me good advice on what I need to change and why. I can hardly believe how much food she has me eating, but yet the calories are so much less. Once I eat breakfast I am stuffed, completely stuffed. She hasn't asked or told me I need to eat stuff I don't like (tofu ewwww) and has kept in mind I have a family that I'm feeding too. Now instead of just calories I am also tracking to make sure I am getting my daily requirements from the food pyramid. My biggest shock was to learn (and I probably did know but ignored) was that the serving sizes on the packages are DOUBLE what an actual serving on the food pyramid is, holy smokes no wonder it's so easy to put on weight and so hard to get it off! She has also given me a slow but steady exercise regime to follow, which is perfect as well. I go back to see her in a month to review how I've done, I sure hope I don't disappoint!
