Last week we had to do a preliminary screening for our health insurance. This is just to tell us where they think we are health wise. When we repeat the testing in December it will affect our insurance premiums for next year. :(

So I have already seen my results, and as I suspected, I did not pass all aspects of this testing.

1st of all they measure your "waist" For women it is supposed to be 35 inches or less.
Ok, I know I am not making that one this time..... Well they measured us starting at the belly button & going around.....................Tha
t is not my waist. That area is larger than my waist. **Irritated**

Then they do blood pressure..... Yup , failed that too. But in my defense, I got 3 kids fed & out the door, while I was fasting, then I dropped 2 fighting kids off at school & drove 20 minutes to my husband's work to do this testing. I walked in handed baby off to my husband & started the process. They didn't have me rest before doing blood pressure. * Most accurate results are after you have been sitting with feet flat on floor in relaxed position for 5 minutes*

Then comes the bloodwork........... Didn't hurt. Felt fine. ~ Later, I had a huge black bruise on my arm & a little bump on the outside of the area where she did the draw.
GRRR!!

Cholesterol - mostly good. Bad # is good, Good # a few points too low, triglycerides good.

Sugar - good.


This was a nightmare.
