Half Naked Popcorn...A Great Snack!

I have been on the search to discover new healthy snacks. Time after time I have passed by the “health food” section of my local grocery store and have never taken a second look. Now that I am on this journey to be healthy I thought I’d stop and take a look at the products offered in this section. While the section is small there are several different healthy snacks. Many of the products are gluten free and organic.
I am a huge fan of popcorn. Buttered, salted, or sweet kettle corn, no matter what kind of popcorn it is I love to snack on it. In the past when I have been on diets I have tried the Smart Popcorn and other diet versions of microwaveable popcorn. I always am left feeling thirsty and with a strange aftertaste and sensation in my mouth, like it has been coated in whatever artificial flavoring they have used on the popcorn. It made to matter to me at the time because I love popcorn and knew it was lower in calories than chips and dip.
Trying to stay away from processed foods and not having an air popper at home I thought I’d try the bagged popcorn I found in the health food section. I bought Good Health Half Naked Popcorn with a hint of Olive Oil. I took it to work as a snack and I have to say it is an amazing snack!
Keep in mind that it won’t have that movie theater butter or even microwave butter taste but it’s a delightful snack. It’s got just enough salt to enhance the popcorn and the olive oil gives the popcorn the perfect texture, light and fluffy without being dry yet it doesn’t taste like olive oil. I highly recommend this product to any popcorn lovers or snack lovers that are trying to eat whole and natural foods.
