Had managed to get my weight down to 222.5 back in late october and then blew out a knee. Pushed too soon, and was off it again. By the time it was "better" we were into the dark days of winter and the holidays. and slowly watched my hard earned work disappear under new layers of blubber. Okay, only got back up to 225.5, but still, it felt like a HUGE disappointment because it happened in so little time!
Unfortunately, through the beginning of the New Year, DH's health took a crisis - Oh, nothing serious, but discomfort enough for him to sit up and pay attention and take some responsibility for himself and his well being. The bottom line, he has not been digesting his food well. that leads to constipation, and that leads to a back of toxins in his blood. So now we are working with digestive enzymes and probiotics, taken 15-30 minutes before each meal and he is feeling better. He is also cutting back on his portion sizes, sugar and snacks. AND THAT makes it easier for me.
with slightly longer day time hours, reduced eating, and kicking up the exercise, this morning woke up to 221.5lbs!! Have also spent the last two days doing heavy duty garden work. have a bit more to do today and tomorrow (hope I get the chance). Want to get my soil amendments in before the predicted snow fall on Wednesday.
With a big social event coming up in October, want to feel like I look good. Its been 10 years since these folks have seen me at 180 lbs. Not only do I want to be back close to that weight, but for my own well being, have got to get myself in decent shape for the years to come. 64 is looming and if I'm going to keep up for the rest of my life, cannot do it fat and out of shape!!
