I am starting to feel like myself again, this weekend was pretty good for me. I overindulged in some pizza on Friday and some chocolate last night, but I exercised, snuck in a lot of produce, and didn't gain. Basically, I stuck to an 80/20-type situation.

My sinuses are finally starting to function somewhat normally, and the baby is sleeping a bit better. All in all, I'd say that's a win!

However, my joints still bother me quite a bit, especially my knees. I am going to have to find a way around this, since it's not easing up and because everything, including the joint pain, will be lessened if I get some of this excess weight off me.

In other news, a friend is looking to create a team for a Spartan race. Even though it's the "sprint" (a.k.a. shorter) version, I am under no disillusion that this would be easy. These things are no joke, and as I stand here today, I know I wouldn't stand a chance. But since it's 6 months away, I am actually considering doing it. How fearless would THAT be??? :)

I obviously have a LOT of research to do before making any decisions, though, and I'd love some feedback from anyone with experiences!

Take it easy and see how it goes. You're the only one who knows if it's OK or not. Good luck!

I am scared of truly athletic things, though I've been noticing at the gym I like doing some of the more athletic moves during classes. I think having 6 months to train for something bold is a GREAT way to cultivate the fearlessness you wanted for the new year! emoticon
