In my personal life I was lucky -- DH is actually the only man I've ever been with. At least I suppose that's lucky!
On the weight loss front however . . . let's just say I've had to constantly reinvent myself. WW sort of taught me what healthy eating looked like when I first joined . . . but I still used a lot of their frozen products. And quite frankly even today, 20 years later, a lot of their foods just aren't really all that healthy. I never buy them.
But that's me . . . as I'm always saying, it's about what works for YOU.
Somewhere along the way I realized that whole foods (unprocessed) made me a whole lot healthier.
But even that isn't good enough as I zero in on those last few pounds. I've had to decrease the amount of carbs I eat & make sure most of them are, again, from whole foods (not a whole lot of pasta or bread, for instance) like potatoes, oats, veggies & fruits.
I don't get rid of carbs altogether - they're important - I just make sure they're really healthy carbs. And I still enjoy some pasta or the (very) occasional slice of pizza.
It's not just about food, either. I've tried a lot of different forms of exercise, too. My latest tweak is breaking up my ST into 2-3 sessions scattered thru out the day rather than one long ST fest. Even if you work, you could do it - try a session before you go to work & one when you get home. Don't tell me you have no time in the mornings - if it's important to you, you'll make time.
Way back I had to leave my house at 5:30 am for work . . . and yes, I often exercised before work.
I'm not waiting for my prince . . . I'm turning into a princess! Wanna join me?
