First week of Couch-to-5K Finished!

I got my stickers from the dollar store yesterday because I finished the 1st week of the Couch-to-5K program!

In the first 3 workouts you alternate between walking for 90 seconds and running for 60 seconds. I combined the 2nd and 3rd workouts because it was getting the pace was fairly 'easy' and I wanted to move on - so I did a total of 50 minutes and walked/jogged a total of 2.8 miles.

There is a Color-Me-Rad 5K coming up in a month or so and I really want to sign up for it. A couple of my friends are already going and my sister Sarah said she would run it with me. It benefits the Special Olympics and it looks like it is crazy-fun. So - extra motivation to finish out some more of these workouts! I figure if I can walk/run a 3 miles in under an hour, I'll be in good shape to keep up with my friends.
