Not so good with resting...

Well, I only walked the dog today for exercise, but... I walked him 10 miles. Oops, today was supposed to be a rest day. Yesterday I joked about needing some self restraint, but it really isn't a joke for me. I try and make Saturday and Sunday my rest days, since I work out so hard the rest of the week, but I failed this weekend, with over 20 miles walked over the 2 days. My legs feel fine tonight, not worn out, (though my feet are a little achy) but I need to make more of an effort to take those rest days so I last all week. I won't be able to make it to the gym on Wednesday I don't think, as I have an appointment, so I will probably have that as an extra rest day this week... if I can stick to that plan. I am not really sure how to make myself stick to my scheduled rest days.

It was cold today. I think the high was 15 degrees. Cooper doesn't seem to mind. I know he likes the cold more than Summer heat. It's that fur coat he wears. (He is giving me such a LOOK as I type this with him on my lap.)

    Argh! You make me TIRED! HAHA. I cannot walk that far in one day.. yet! But I am working to get to that point. So far I am good with 5 miles and had no problem. but then I got sideslapped with reality which is causing depression like crazy. I cannot believe I get myself into some of the poo that I do, but I must be a professional at it by now.

And rest days... I took one today because I worked my tail off yesterday AND walked 4 miles in between the hard work of cleaning the fence line again. But I did almost nothing today, which makes me feel crappy. But I am working on it! I still have a few hours before the night is over!

You inspire me, even at 8pm!! LOL

Cooper is so adorable. Maybe you should put your shoes in an inconvenient spot on the weekend so you won't want to work hard to get to them. No, that won't work. You love a challenge!!! LOL I wish I had your energy. I think youth is wasted on the young. hahha. I have made my walk 4 days in a row now. It is a record for me. Just 10 minutes I keep telling myself. I am off to do today's walk now. Thanks for the encouragement you give with your blogs.
