Doing better

Sunday, February 17, 2013

I have been feeling better the past 2 days. My anti bloating and acid reflux stuff has made me feel better. I got tums and some anti bloating stuff from dollar tree and on my receipt had a coupon for a free whopper. You look like u feel like crap, here is some more crap to make you feel worse! Come back and buy more meds, REAL soon!

Here is my salad mix growing like crazy, today it is 1 week old.

Spinach is much slower to grow, I knew that though. I got a little Bok Choi coming and kohl rabi is going nuts again like last yr. I am actually using seeds from last yr for them. They are determined little suckers!

My MIL gave us a cedar chest with a cushion for it. I kept seeing those cute little benches they are selling everywhere for a doorway. They are like over 100 everywhere and made from cheap wood. This works well and the animals are inlove already.

I did WERQ this morning and opted out of the lifting class. Incase my stomach still needs some time to repair. Took the dogs for a 30 minute walk. Oh and I got my new fitbit replacement. My other one was freezing and turning off randomly. They sent me a new one before they asked for the old one back I wont be without it, what an awesome company. Plus let me pick a different color.

I was prompted yesterday to look up TOPS, Take off the pounds sensibly. I remember my dad told me my grandma used to run a TOPS meeting in their basement when he was a kid in the early 60's. They came out like 15 yrs before WW's and they are still around all over the place gathering in churches and have a pretty cool outlook. They don't focus on one program or way of eating. They just promote weight loss support, eating healthy food and exercising. Plus they are about 90 dollars a yr which a lot of their profit goes to obesity research. I am not sure where WW's money goes but it's like over 500 a yr to be a member. I donno if I need it right now, but it's nice to know it's around. I went to their site and there's 3 locations that have meetings on a weekly basis in my area. Just thought I would throw that out there, if anyone needs support and can't afford WW's prices.

I hope you guys have an awesome week!

I am a tops member and find the weekly meetings a boost to my spirits as the members are all int the same boat. Just be aware you will likely be the youngest in the group.

Glad you're doing better! I've never heard about TOPS so I might go ahead and look into it.

Your garden is already looking so lovely! And your pets look adorable. :) My coworkers were talking about their kids-- and I slipped "yes babies are cute, but puppies are way cuter and funner to be around." I got the strangest look from them, is it inappropriate? LOL! ... So yes I love pet pictures. Especially ones with a cute kitty playing with a cute dog.

I can't get over how big Josie is getting!!! Anna just saw her picture and said "Hey, is that Bella?!" Haha nope!!!

I'm glad you're feeling better. And glad you passed on the Whopper. ;)

I'm glad you are doing better this week! Love your pics as usual, and that bench is so pretty! I've never heard of TOPS, thanks for sharing that. It's good to know. :)
Also, that is so great about Fitbit service. I'm glad they have good customer service. Your little salad garden is looking great too. Love it!

Hope you have a fantastic day!

My husband and I were talking about TOPS the other day - I had never heard about it before. There is also a former Biggest Loser contestant that lives in Omaha that works with people with food addictions - I know that's my problem. After Ivy is born I might sign up for a few sessions because I definitely have an unhealthy emotional connection to food and eating.

Look at your greens! Wow! Is that an old bathtub you are using to grow them in?

Giving you a Whopper coupon is a pretty low blow. What a way to sell more anti-acids.

Love that you can see humor and beauty around you even when you are feeling bad.

Hope you feel better soon.
