Since right around October 20 last year I have been exercising for at least 40 minutes a day. I even exercised on Christmas, my birthday, New Years, etc. etc.
The last 2 weeks I have exercised less regularly. I am still losing weight and often burning just as many calories as though I had exercised. I really enjoy exercise and feel better when I am doing it regularly.
The snag I've run into is all the overtime I've scheduled. Some days I am working 14 hours a day and often on my days off I am working probably an average of 8 hours. Then there's school. That has been taking some of my attention. I've also been redecorating my house. I've also had a sort of general restlessness since my son left. I will do odd things like go to walmart after work and buy items like 98 cent terracotta pots and votive candles. You know, things I really need. In addition, there is the kitten and my dog. I made sure I had a full plate when my son left .... just in case.
I've still been losing the same amount of weight but want to get back on track. I now wish I hadn't picked up quite this much overtime. I have it scheduled into mid-march. I'm going to make a real effort to slow down the work schedule going forward and force myself to start my day off with exercise even if I do have to be at work at 7am.
