So I have uploaded this video to include as the little present I was sent this morning by Alaska Man. His dad’s baby goats are a spirited little crowd. There are 11 and they are so adorable, but already starting to smell like goats. Good thing we don’t have smell-i-vision here or you would want to leave now. Wow! I would hate to be downwind of the billy goats every day. YUCKY!
That over-salted spaghetti dinner from yesterday has stayed with me. I know I didn't drink enough water yesterday... I think only 6.5 cups. So today I really have to push it with the water. I am going to go out and walk today too. It's 43 degrees, but the solitude of walking is what I prefer. My mother even got upset with me for not asking her to walk yesterday. It hurt her feelings. I just forget that anyone else WANTS to walk around here.
Okay - just checked. She doesn't want to walk today as they are going out and will be walking a lot at Home Depot. Mom has a project lined up for dad every day, or something for him to do. She is not letting him loaf around at all! HAHA (This means they will leave me alone!)
It's now after 8pm and I have accomplished a great deal today. I got my fat butt up and started walking and then got to thinking about the best way to finish off the fence line of palmettos. So I went to work with a pair of OLD scissor clippers and a rake and clipped all the palms back to the trunk and now I can just waltz in there tomorrow and cut it all to the ground. Mom and Dad can load what I have already cut down into dad's new dump trailer, and I can get in there with my new sawzall and take it from there. Hopefully I will have a clear fence line by the middle of the week, but it depends on my back.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am closing down early because I have been hit by the proverbial truck and know that tomorrow will be hard. But today was so worth it. A sense of accomplishment and a stretched out body is my gift to myself this evening. I have some rolling to do and some more stretching and then I am DONE for the night.
Let me leave you with one little image that is so very sweet. This was about 9 am this morning and it was about 40 degrees out:
Peace, Love, and Baby Goats,
