Gearing up for the 5% challenge, folks! This weekend was my time to plan out what my plan will be! I've tried many different plans, usually with success for a short time, but I either get bored or lazy or life just gets in the way, i.e., others start complaining about the food choices in our home! Ahem, DH!!!
And to be honest, I like variety! Some days I crave a vegetarian type day, other days Paleo, some days I could eat oatmeal for every meal! Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you get the idea!
So I've decided that my plan will be to follow Bob Harper's The Skinny Rules for the 8 week challenge. It will give me a little of everything, it will certainly be a challenge and will require many changes. Some will be easy, some won't be, all are doable.

Cut out carbs after lunch - this will be the biggie for me!
Egg whites - goodbye yummy yolks!!! What will I do with all those egg yolks???
40 - 50 grams of fiber and not from those quick grab meal replacement bars; cut out the sugar and white stuff (hello Paleo!!)
Add back in my steel cut oats, Ezekiel bread, plain greek yogurt. Let's see how the body reacts!
Exercise will be a mix of cardio, ST and yoga. I am still limited as to what I can do on the treadmill and bike, so adding ST to each cardio session will work for this challenge. I can also get serious about yoga and meditation.
During this 8 week challenge, I'll be putting my other teams' challenges on the back burner. This will allow me to contribute to my Teddy Bear team challenges and my Love Yourself, Love your Body team challenges. Hoping that when the 8 weeks are up, I will have approval to start running again and I can actively participate in my running teams' challenges once again. I'll try and stop by my crafting team and my grandparent's team but if you don't see much of me, please be patient! I'll be back!
