Let's focus on building connections for this first week. Post a blog (or share with your team) a little something about yourself. You can include things such as your name, age, marriage status, children, profession, favorite workout, favorite thing to do for fun, favorite food, quirky things about yourself, where you live, why you struggle with weight issues, what helps you stay motivated....there is no limit to what you can share! Shake things up a bit and share pictures with your team or in a blog that mean something to you. Also, feel free to post your facebook, myfitnesspal, fitbit, etc. pages so we can all connect in other ways as well!"
So here goes: My name's Amanda and I live in north central Kansas. I'm 25 years old, and have worked as the curator of a museum for a little over a year now. I lived in Ireland for a year and a half so it's safe to say it's my favorite place on earth! I've struggled with my weight all of my adult life (and much of my childhood) so I'm here to finally put an end to that. I'm not as focused on the number on the scale as I am on being healthy: not getting winded walking up stairs or around town, not having fat rolls even when standing, etc. I like Chalene Johnson's Turbo Fire workout, but I struggle with making time to do my workout. Hopefully this challenge will help keep me accountable and get me into a routine to help with these lifestyle changes!
