Upcoming Challenges

Sunday, February 17, 2013

I will be pushing my boundaries with these upcoming challenges. One of the challenges is to lose 5% of your weight, which starts next Saturday and last until April 20, 2013. I am part of the Fire Crackers Team. I just love that name, because that's what I am: a Firecracker! LOL! The other challenge is called Springing into Action, which starts today and last until June 15, 2013. This team is called the Wave Runners!

Here's this week's challenge for the Wave Runners. My nickname is Stevie. I'm in my Fabulous 40s. I'm Single and Loving It! I have a dog, who is my buddy and keeps me on my toes. I work at an university. I love kickboxing and strength training. My favorite thing to do for fun is Girls Nite Out! I love hanging out with my friends as well as traveling. As far as food is concerned, I really do not have a favorite. I do like Mexican, Italian as well as Chinese. When it comes to my struggles with weight loss, my issue would be starting something and not completing it. My goal this year to make monthly plans for my workouts along with eating. I started Les Mills' Combat and want to finish the program in March. So far, everything is going well! What's keeping me motivated is my determination to earn the body I want. So, here's some information about little old me!

For my 5% Challenge, here are my current numbers:

1) How many pounds will you lose to achieve your 5% weight loss?

166.5 x 0.05 = 8.325

Weight Progress:

Current Weight: 166.5#
Target Weight: 158.2#
Current Measurements: 190.75 inches (Body Fat: 43.35%; 72.18# of Body Fat; 94.32# of Lean Body Weight)
By April 20, 2013

My Goals & Progress:
Calorie Intake: 1220-1570 calories
Calories Burned Per Week: 2160 calories
Fitness Minutes: I will make adjustments after 8 weeks.
Week 1: ?/550
Week 2: ?/600
Week 3: ?/650
Week 4: ?/700
Week 5: ?/700
Week 6: ?/700
Week 7: ?/750
Week 8: ?/750

I will continue to Eat Clean and change up my workouts every 60 days. I will be doing workouts in the mornings & evenings. At my job, I will continue my mini challenge of wall pushups, squats, and lunges. I have a sit down job and need to get up and move! I will participate on the teams and participate on Team Challenges!

So, Firecrackers & Wave Runners, I'm ready to do this! emoticon

Glad you've joined us Firecrackers, Stevie. Great to hear that your ready and raring to go. Wishing you success in both your challenges. I'm currently in the BLC21 challenge and looking forward to the 5% challenge starting. It'll be time consuming keeping up with both challenges but I look forward to the successes and triumphs in both. Be seeing you around the 5% challenge then.
