Recap of my Seven Day Fast

Day One - All fruits except bananas. I had lots of watermelon and a cantaloupe, oranges, and grapes.

Day Two- A baked potato with a pat of butter for breakfast and only vegetables for the rest of the day. Lots of water.

Day Three - A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any
quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today. Lots of water.

Day Four - Eight bananas and three glasses of milk. Also homemade veggie soup.
Lots of water.

Day Five - Two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. I chose hamburger patties. Also six whole
tomatoes. Not only lots of water but tons of water to absorb the acid from the tomatoes!

That is where I called it quits...just wasn't feeling it any more. I do not eat red meats so the beef turned me off. I started getting a sore throat and hubby was not on board from the beginning.

Woke up this morning relieved that I did not have to have another day of beef (LOL!) and ready to get back to my usual plant based/whole foods diet.
My throat is worse. Feels like someone is jabbing me with a knife!!! I do not have scales so I had my hubby drive me to Winn Dixie to weigh in and some medicine. Happy to say that I lost 6 pounds during the 5 days of fasting.

Hubby asked me if it was worth it...???...I must say that I would do the four days again but not the fifth. I think I will stick to a juicing fast one day a week. I can handle that!

  It sounds like it was a pretty weird fast. Glad you lost weight!

    Great job! I don't know if I could do it or not! I know my boss was down 2 and a half pounds after three days..or maybe just 2...I can't remember for sure. Glad to hear you are still losing though!
