Mmmmm just as good as it smelled!

Sunday, February 17, 2013

I made the yummy chicken noodle soup with sliders yesterday,,it is all gone!! DD grated and chopped some of the veggies for me, we ate it for two meals and I finished it today when we returned from running errands for a few hours! That soup wa so easy and tasted just as wonderful as it looked and smelled! DD said she did not want any since we have both been living on soup for over two weeks being sick and all! Especially chicken noodle!! LOL! Once it started to simmer and I added the spices, she decided she would try a bowl.
It only makes about 8 cups, but it was great!

I made two dozen blueberry ,muffins, brownies the soup.
We are both feeling better today,, went bargain shopping and got lots of freebies... now she is in the basement organizing our extended pantry. I am sorting through papers to shred and toss, prepping for tax day Wednesday.
We got another two inches of snow last night,, good for the Great Lakes,, so glad I added insulation in my attic last year!!!

I love soup, too!! Tastes good, comforting, not calorie-laden... what more could we ask for!!
I'd like the recipe, too! Do you think it would freeze well? I usually make slow-cooker meals and freeze them (I live alone).

Have a great week, my friend!

I could eat soup every day. I love it! Hungry Girl says replace a meal a day with a nice bowl of broth-based soup to help you lose weight.

I with the help of my 9 yr. old grandson made Chef Meg's 75 Calorie Chocolate Mouse. I made it healthier by using sugar substitute instead of sugar. It was delicious, my grandson was proud to have helped and the people that ate it all said it was delicious as well. emoticon

emoticon OK I have to ask what sliders are.

I am Glad you are both doing so much better. That is good news for sure. It must have been really good to eat after 2 weeks of soup. Was it your own recipe or a Spark people recipe.
Just as the light is going the wind arrives in our neck of the woods.
I will prepare supper now so if we lose power I have something to heat up.
That is my excuse for making soup or stew, my favourite things winter or summer at home or camping I can eat chicken pork or beef and enjoy it. HUGS. STAY WELL both of you PLEASE. emoticon emoticon emoticon
