1 inch...really????

Sunday, February 17, 2013

No this isn't about weight loss. It's about snow!!!! We were forecasted to get about an inch of snow yesterday. Well, Friday night into Saturday. By Saturday evening we had 8 inches!!!!! What?? 8 inches, really? Who blew that forecast? The little flakes started Saturday morning and then stopped for a little while ad then started back up. I always heard that the small flakes are the ones to worry about. big flakes don't do anything but little ones add up to big problems. How true!!! Our power blinked on and off a couple of times but I never thought to look out the window. When I got up from my nap I turned the light on and to my surprise saw the accumulation on my back porch railing. DH was just as shocked as I was.

Of course my dog, Boone is in his glory. he loves the snow and has been running around in it making circles and pushing his nose in it. DH said after one incident of putting his head into the snow, the dog's head, not my husband's, the dog looked like a frosted flake!! Too funny!

My dogs love the snow also. The bigger one is crippled up some but when out in the snow she comes alive and runs with the best. We got 8 ' also but it is warming now so melting. Talking rain this weekend. When in Iowa, don't blink for the weather can change that fast.

Dogs get so silly around snow. Don't know why but you'd never see a self-respecting cat go romping about~the increased grooming time would be outrageous.

WOW! You must be in the upstate. I'm in Columbia, and we just had big fluffy flurries. I'll bet you had fun watching the dog play! Cute!!

Awwww, my pup used to like playing in the snow too. Now he's going on 12, so it's more of a chore for him (AND ME too!) LOL

Gotta "love" when the forecast is way off. Oh well. Guess it happens, eh!

I only wish I had the insight to study meteorology in school so I could be making a big salary for being wrong about the weather as our forecasters are! My dogs love playing in the snow too. I hibernate in the winter.
