Ahh, the Weekend

Sunday, February 17, 2013

This has been a lazy weekend so far. :( I went to a wake Friday night and stood in line for 4 hours. By the time I got up there, my foot was on FIRE. So, no run for me yesterday morning. My food was pretty good for the most part because I worked really hard at staying in calories, since I was trying to stay off my foot as much as possible. It is still bugging me today, so it will be more of the same. Husband got groceries yesterday, and he's starting to do a lot better. He gets a lot more fruits/veggies now and looks for sales and dinner recipes that we can make with what he gets. He blew off his food loge for a whole week, but today he is determined to get back in the swing.

One of my SP friends wrote a really good blog last week about water and how it affects your weight. I get so worked up when my scale doesn't cooperate, and I forget about the good food choices I make all week long! So I'm trying to forget about the scale for awhile. The batteries need replacing right now, and it has been acting up anyway. Last night I let myself have a caramel sundae from McD's with my daughter. It was so nice to sit with her and talk about our day together, and for that I don't feel the least bit guilty. :)

One small caramel sundae does not make a whole eating lifestyle - you're doing great!

Sorry to hear your foot is acting up again. You might change your running plan to be every two to three days to give your foot a rest in between. Daily running might not be the best thing for it, even with the brace.

Congrats on getting the hubby to at least "think" about things - small changes will help so much over the long run and it may be just what he needs to stick with it.

Keep on inspiring the rest of us!
