I'm noticing that my Botox blog yesterday has had hot links gratuitously added to commercial sponsors/advertisers not of course courtesy of me. And so too some of the comments, which I'm pretty sure aren't courtesy of the commenters.
Wrinkle cream, wrinkles, Botox, weight loss, fitness, Spark People, Weight Watchers, Green Giant, Zulily, workout, gym, calorie counter, fitness tracker, nutrition tracker, message boards: lets just see how many hot links attach themselves.
Feeling high-jacked? Questioning whether the Spark People site's professed service orientation is being overtaken by a commercial imperative?
I love Spark People. I appreciate Spark People. It's a marvellous community. And I get that sponsors keep the site free. But: how much profit is enough profit? Profit binge behaviour alert?
And besides: aren't these my blogs?
My gratitude remains intact but maybe I'm having trouble with "maintenance". Maybe that gratitude is not quite so fervent.
