Hypnosis or Food confusion?

Just curious to see if anyone has tried either one of those and has successfully lost weight.

On a personal note figured out why I have been so tired lately. I'm anemic and have not gotten my treatment in about oh 6 months. So on top of being depressed I actually had a medical reason. So I'm topped off now emoticon & ready to see if I can get this fluffy butt back on track again. Sigh.
Exercise has become my stumbling block. I really like the strength exercises but I can't seem to get it in gear.

    I did try a hypnosis session for weightloss...twice, actually. The first time was very negative. The hypnotherapist used negative imagery to make me be grossed out by unhealthy foods. This did not work at all for me.
The second person I saw was wonderful. The hypnotherapist first explained using a white board how the body processes food and the effects food has on the body. Then he had me relax in a dim room with headphones on. He left the room and his voice came through the headphones giving me relaxing and positive suggestions for a healthy diet and lifestyle.
It was great, but I didn't have the $ at the time for the cd to use at home, so the results were short lived. I did have the compulsion to eat healthier foods and drink more water for about 1-2 weeks.
If I knew what a terrific price I was getting at the time I would definitely have paid the $75 for the cd on top of the $40 for the initial visit. Now I am looking to try it again because I know it can work.

    Never heard of food confusion.
I used to listen to self-hypnosis CDs with subliminal messages and self-guided hypnosis. It would relax me and put me to sleep. I think it helped but it's been a long time since I have done that. It wouldn't hurt but I wouldn't pay anyone to do it. I'd start with a CD and move on from there. I loved all the CDs by Dr. David Illig.

    I am hypnotized BY food. Does that count? I woke up this morning and had competely forgotten about the cold can of ravioli I ate last night in my depression dementia.

I hope you got your blood topped off for me too. I need it. But today is more about staying hydrated so I can cry enough and get it all out in one day. I hate crying and I just need to get it over with so I can once again become a cold-hearted bitch and be done with it all.

    Glad you figured it out. I just found out I have adrenal fatigue or exhaustion, and look forward getting better too.

    Hypnotherapy is like a hurricane. It hits hard and works great for about 2 weeks and then it tapers off and fizzles out. I have never tried it but have known a couple people who have and that's what they told me. Glad you got the anemia thing figured out! Good luck with the exercise!

    I guess I have not experienced hypnosis or food confusion. I was anaemic at one time in my life. That was a very long time ago. I remember I had fainting spells. I guess it was coupled with low blood pressure too.

    Anemia DEFINITELY saps one's energy. Hopefully you will see a turn around in your energy and your mood since the anemia is corrected.

    I got in the habit of doing my exercises first thing in the morning. If I don't, I don't seem to find time during the day.
