I'm still insane!

Tonight will be our fourth day doing Insanity. I hate to admit that my age seems to making some movement a "challenge." My knees and hip flexors are often sore during the workout, but I feel pretty good the next day. I am finding muscles that I didn't realize were there. I'm not as sore I thought I'd be. I don't know if I'm not "pushing hard enough" or just being smart by not overdoing it. I figure if I'm working and sweating as much as I do, that I'm doing just fine.

I did take before pictures and I'll take after. I hope I see a difference!! I'll post them at the end. I'm also hoping to scan in the picture that motivated me to lose my 40 lbs. I look at that picture and it looks like I weighed way more than I did! emoticon It will be interesting to compare the three. 56 more days...if I make it!

    Ironic! I'm home sick, in bed, and yesterday, I saw an infomercial on Insanity on CNBC. Got a good sweat just watching it...maybe it was the slight fever!
I could never survive that due to old injuries. I'm in awe, MJ!

    Doesn't it feel great to "discover" muscles that you didn't even know they were there? Ok, after the soreness is gone at least!
I think you're smart enough to listen to your body. Our fitness abilities should be our guide to every activity and we should never exceed our bodies' limits.
Well done on taking the "before" photo! I'm sure the comparison to the "after" one will be surprising.

    Oh my gosh, the insanity program is intense! I can't do 90% of it because of my knees. But just *watching* the videos increases my heartrate ! LOL

    this kind of "insanity" is good! better than dementia, right? (lol!) you are definitely are an inspiration to me! gives me hope that i can reach my goals, too! (bty) nice lenten choice!

    Good luck! My daughter did Insanity the summer before last and I know it really helped her to get ready to start ROTC in college.
