I assisted at Zumba again this morning. This makes 5 Zumba classes this week! It was a nice uneventful workout, which was just what the doctor ordered. I helped lead one song.

As soon as I was done with Zumba, I dashed over to McDonalds with my daughter to meet my son. We got take-out for the kids and they ate in the car. This is not our usual habit but we were meeting cousins at the gymnastics gym at noon and we were pressed for time. Two college aged cousins participated in open gym with them and had a great time on the trampolines and ropes etc. My 15 year old son is not a gymnast but he was a good sport for the sake of family. My 11 year old gymnast was in heaven getting to show off her tricks to her cousins.

It was very nice to drop the kids off and then leave to meet my husband for a lunch date. We had lunch at 5 Guys Burgers. I ate too much and my blood sugar showed it. But we did have a nice time just the two of us. I'm now taking cinnamon and drinking a "Sugar Balance" tea to try and mitigate some of the effects.

I tried taking a nap but muscle cramping kept waking me up. I'm going to try and massage my legs to see if that helps. I'm already taking prescription potassium and calcium and magnesium so I'm not sure what else I can do electrolyte wise.

    I too get leg cramps a lot, but mine are not caused by a potassium deficiency, mine are related to nerve damage in my back. Sometimes drinking water or Gatorade helps, and sometimes it doesn't.

    Bananas also great for potassium, I try to eat one at least every other day, and sometimes every day when leg cramps are more often.
That was very nice your children were able to spend time with cousins at the gyn today. Lunch date with hubby is always a treat and together time away from the kids.
Taking cinnamon can help with the blood sugar readings, have used that myself.

    Potassium is the best source for leg cramps try eating baked potatoes, white beans or fresh spinach.
