Where Am I?

Saturday, February 16, 2013

I did it. I finally completed my PMP exam application. It took a long time because you have to document 4500 hours of experience and it can't be on overlapping projects...Ugh. But I had plenty of hours, so I was able to cut a few projects I was planning on including. So, that's it. One major milestone down. Once my application is approved, I'll sign up to take the test.

Today, I still weigh 237. It's a pleasant surprise that I haven't gained, given my level of activity. I came really close to completing that 9 week workout. In the end, there was too much going on and I was totally wiped out by the time my scheduled workout rolled around. Plus, the workouts did get harder in the last phase and really started messing with my knees and hips. Boo.

The Done Being a Fat Girl seasonal challenge ends today. I'm up 11 pounds from 17 weeks ago. What are you gonna do? Take note of it and move on, that's what! I switched teams for this new Spring Into Action challenge. I'm on the Bahama Mamas now. Unlike most people who are loyal to one team, I like popping around and getting to know the other teams. I'm also on another team, an 8 week 5% challenge that starts on my 40th birthday. Auspicious, right?

I hope the teams keep me motivated and don't just add to my stress. If they do, I'll drop the 5% challenge. I know the Done Girls are always flexible. They aren't sticklers for participation like the Biggest Loser Challenge and some others I've tried.

So, I'm still hanging in there. Did I tell you I bought a new Leslie Sansone DVD? It's the 5 Big Miles and I love it. I like it better than the 4 Big Miles because I shouldn't have to repeat miles over again. It has a more energetic vibe and has younger people on it. Since I'm so overwhelmed with system training, testing, and troubleshooting at work on top of making time for studying, I think I'm going to shoot for 1 hour of fitness 5 times a week. Zumba on Mondays, and the 5 mile DVD or stationary bike on the other days. I did enjoy the 9 week workout because it incuded strength training, but so does the 5 mile DVD, so I'll go with it for now.

Now that my house is nice and clean and my application is processed, I'm ready to walk!
