My bank was less than helpful today when I stopped there to get some info I needed for my taxes - wanted to charge me $144.00 since I am set up for online banking. She claimed that if I received paper statements, I would have the information. She gave me the run around about how difficult and time consuming it woiuld be to run a simple report. With persistance (and 45 min of time and NO FEE), I had her explain to me how to do it. Then she had the nerve to tell me how commited she was to better serving me, etc.!
Then I went to the office and (with no previous experience) had the report done in about 15 min!
I have started the process of switching banks and this is another nail in the coffin of this bank.
What's this world coming to?

    I cannot tell you how much I agree with you - from the simplest things to what you went through with your bank. Don't you just wonder sometimes about these people?

    Unfortunately that's how banks are nowadays and how too much of the actual working workforce is. Yet, so many of the one's that actually want to work can't find a job! I switched banks last year due to bank fees even after repetively telling them they were going to lose me if they didn't get their act together. They then had nerve to try and talk me into staying. Had to tell the guy not to push or he might hear some words he wouldn't like!

    It's sad how lazy people have become. It doesn't take any longer to be polite and help someone than it does to be rude.

    I do agree about customer service everywhere. They are usually not even polite.

    I am so tired of banks. Somewhere along the line most of them seem to have lost the comprehension of the meaning of customer service... Crazy how we have to pay them while they are using our money to make money. Wishing you the best of luck on your switch to a new one. We switched to a credit union only a few years ago for our personal finances, and we haven't regretted it one bit.

    It was, after all, Saturday. I guess they weren't expecting a customer to want to do banking today.
