So G'morning then...

Saturday, February 16, 2013

Wow! Did I sleep. Lots.
After I wrote my blog, we lost internet, tv/cable, and phone, again... So, it was DVD time. My hubby picked up two dvd's from redbox. new ones. I know I tried to watch them, and I think I liked them, but I can't even remember what they were. No problem. I just kept sleeping through them.
I think that is a good thing after surgery. Sleeping it off.
Every thing is vague.
Both of my sons came to visit. I think my younger son came at least three times to the house, and the last time he took a shower after work, but didn't stay long except to grab a sandwich. My older son wants to come back later so I can give him a haircut. Right now he kind of looks like William Shakespeare - hair and little beard. Not very 21st century.
I fell asleep with my ipod hooked up to mini speakers. My hubby didn't like the music, but didn't know how to shut it off. I told him he should have moved it to the kitchen. I had it on softly. I was sleeping so heavy I don't even remember falling asleep.

I feel ok today. still really sleepy. Kind of lethargic so I am just going with the flow. I woke pretty crampy but I am not hurting as much right now, just still groggy feeling. The pain has subsided, and no more bleeding. Headachy though.
I am drinking water, eating light. forget exercise for a couple days while recovering.
Glad the Internet is back, etc. Now I don't have to sleep to DVD's, I can sleep to whatever else is on, or country videos.

I think anesthesia stays in your system a long time. You know that! you have had a lot of experience with it over the last few years that i have known you.
I am happy you are doing well after your very long sleep.
At some time soon you will have your results and I am hoping all is quite normal. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon PAT

That rest was exactly what you needed. That will help you to heal and recharge your body. Listen to what your body is telling you and don't try to push yourself.

Your Dr. must have given you some pretty strong anesthetic to make you so tired for so long! They rarely put you out here anymore if they can get away with just giving you a spinal -as they did for my hip and knee replacements -makes for a faster recovery and not logy after.
Have a good rest and recovery!

Surgery does make you kind of dopey, doesn't it? Glad to hear you are starting to feel better
