Spark coach assignment

Saturday, February 16, 2013

Spark guy gave us a motivational assignment to do today. We are suppose to list things that are easier and better in our lives since we have gotten healthier and have lost weight. Yesterday was a bad day. I didn't eat well at all, didn't go over really, just didn't eat properly. I have not gone grocery shopping yet and I ran out of fruits over a week ago and I am running out of everything now. I had pancakes and syrup for breakfast. 99 grams of carbohydrates and 500 calories that were not even nutritional right there. Even though they are Smart Ones dinners, all I have are pasta dinners left. Sure the tomato sauce is a vegetable but where are the peas, carrots, broccoli, spinach? No where that's where. So I needed this assignment BADLY.

1. I can climb the stairs carrying groceries no problem. I use to have a problem climbing the stairs never mind carrying a gallon of milk.

2. I feel like a woman, not a blob. I have curves and a nice butt so I have been told.

3. I can breathe better.

4. My back and my knees don't hurt as much.

5. I feel better physically and emotionally.

6. I have self confidence and self esteem.

7. I can stand and do dishes without my back feeling like a towel being rung out.

8. I don't need my shower chair anymore.

9. It has gotten a lot easier to do my exercises. I have increased my exercise intensity.

10. I like to take walks.

11. I have more energy.

12. The house is kept up nicer.

13. Let's face it, I like the compliments I get too.

What do you find easier?

I love your list!! emoticon That is wonderful and I agree with the other person that you should print the list out and reread it on occasion, just to sort of remind yourself of all of the super things that have changed for the better!!

You should print this blog so you can look at it when your motivation ebbs or your day is incredibly hard and you want to do some emotional eating! Great blog.

emoticon on all of your accomplishments. You must be very proud of yourself.

I have more energy, I look better in my clothes, my clothes are a smaller size, I can get down on the floor with my grand-daughters without calling for a crane to get back up, I love the complements I am getting, I sleep better, I can wear my favorite ring again, etc.

emoticon for a wonderful blog.

I find it easier to shop for clothes.... something I used to hate to do. I can find things that fit and look pretty good.

The non scale victories are worth so much more than the scale in this journey, my biggest accomplishment is that I have overcome my emotional eating I no longer turn to food to comfort. Congrats on what you have achieved !! emoticon

I'm able to do more vigorous fitness. If I don't overeat, I sleep better--try not to go to bed engorged by heavy eating. I too can move in general with better range. I also can cross my legs!

you go, girl! awesome job! remember don't look at what you did for a "day", look at all the progress you have made! focus on the positive things that last, not on one day! emoticon

Congrats on your non-scale victories! That is soooooo fantastic!

Here's my list:

I started out with barely 20 minute walks when I got my Fitbit for Christmas. Now I feel warmed up at 20, great at 40, and done at 90 minutes.

The arthritis in my hands and knees is essentially gone!

I used to drive my huge (3 load) laundry basket across the lot to the laundromat; now I carry it without breaking a sweat or huffing and puffing.

Dining out is still a struggle, but not a disaster. The third week after I started SP, I went on a trip for my 50th birthday, and "found" all the weight I lost. emoticon Last week, we went away and I maintained my weight while dining out every day for a week. emoticon
