Week 9 - Half Marathon Training

Today's assignment is 6 miles brisk. I have an extremely busy day with two basketball games for my youngest son that is an hour away. He had one last week as well which I missed due to get my training in.
Because the assignment was a "shorter" distance, a brisk 6 miles, I chose to do it last night. I'm not a night exerciser, wasn't sure how I'd do. I also had to nix my plan of doing it outside due to darkness and no reflector attire (definitely need to pick something up)
I did my 6 in 1:45:48, shaving off 11minutes from the first time I did 6. I was also able to jog a little. Only at a 4.0 speed. Which is a jog for me if I don't hang on to the rails or a fast walk if I do.
An exciting bit of news....I'm down 17 pounds since January 1st!
This week has been crazy. We have two different bugs in our house. Sore throat/cough and also the stomach flu. Oh Joy! So far 4 of my kids have had the first with it turning into bronchitis for my Senior son who is in the middle of tournament play for high school basketball. 3 kids have had the stomach flu. I hope I can avoid both
