While this week flew by, it was really busy and somewhat stressful. But I managed it pretty well I think and I thank you for your support. It helped!
I updated my resume and applied for a promotion within my department. I decided to get a job coach because a friend of mine had a great experience with a particular person. I met with her for the first time and we had a great talk which interestingly echoed some of the positive self-talk I've been doing lately. She said that our work together would help me express who I am rather than what I've done, since that's the value you truly bring to the table in any job. It sounds exactly like what I've been saying about valuing myself for who I am, not for my accomplishments. So of course, I instantly liked her! Looking forward to doing this work, which I think will be valuable whether or not I get the job.
Checking in on my goals...I have for the most part been staying within calorie goals, and while I will only have done 2 cardio sessions this week (headed to the gym momentarily) I had a marathon cardio session Tuesday -- 80 minutes during the President's speech on Tuesday -- so I am feeling pretty good. I aslo got access to the gym at work but did not manage to get myself there one single day. But it was a pretty busy week.
I decided to give up sweets for Lent, even though Unitarians do not typically adhere to that particular practice. It has been horrible at work lately, Girl Scout cookies everywhere, and it seemed like a good idea...
Loving the weekend...planning to focus on finances this weekend. Paying bills, filing taxes, and budget. And then laundry of course...but that's a constant!
