In the Beginning

Friday, February 15, 2013

Well, after reading some extraordinarily inspirational blogs and testimonials from other Spark members, I decided to join. Hoping that I will find the motivation and support here from others that I so desperately crave. I think that is 1/4 of the battle. There is so much out there to push in the wrong direction... the path of greasy fries and overly decadent sweets. But where good people is that little nudge pointing you down the road of crunchy carrots and sweet peas? Many a time I would start a lifestyle change and an exercise regimen. I've tried if not considered it all, weight watchers, my fitness pal, multiple gym memberships, personal training sessions, Daniels fast, 3-day diet, high protein, no protein, low carb diet. I purchased a Kinect gaming system, Wii, treadmill, every size of hand held weight, jump rope, yoga mat and fitness ball they are collecting dust like relics stored in a rundown side of the road museum. I was always missing a support team. So I begin this long daunting journey hoping that I will not travel alone...

Spark People and taking baby steps works for me. One life style change at a time, ex. No fried foods. When that becomes comfortable, make another. This is not a race to lose the weight, just keep making those little changes and you will not only feel better, you will lose those pounds. Don't be thinking it's going to take forever, remember that time is going to pass whether or not you are working your program.. emoticon

I'm so glad you joined the emoticon

I like you have tried everything and even think I have the same dusty collection in my garage. LOL! I'm not one of those super inspirational people and I'm not yet a success story. I've been with SparkPeople a long time and haven't really done much, but I can honestly say that when I'm following the program and using it's support system I succeed. I learn, I grow, I become a better person!

I would love to throw some support your way if you want me to. Just hit me up on my spark page.

No matter what just keep sparking and you will succeed! This site isn't just about losing weight it's about creating the person you want to be!!
