My DIL requesting prayers for my granddaughter.

Friday, February 15, 2013

My DIL posted this on Facebook today:

"I would like to ask all my FB friends & family if you could pray for my daughter Sydney - for the last 4 months, she has been suffering from a case of alopecia & she's now almost completely bald in the back of her head. They think its from her tonsillectomy being so hard on her skinny little body. She is getting treated with high dose steroids one weekend a month to try & stop her immune system from attacking her hair but so far no luck. It hurts my heart to brush & fix her hair each morning trying to cover the bald areas because Sydney always had this very thick, beautiful hair. I know the power of prayer can get her hair growing again."

I thought I'd extend this prayer request to the kind members of SP. And thank you in advance for your prayers.

Sydney will be 10 next month. This is who you're praying for - - -

Karen - I just read this and your newer blog. I am so glad to hear that the problem is resolving itself - I know how powerful prayer is and I'm adding mine that it continues to improve. for Sydney.

Karen I'm so sad I didn't get this blog due to my illness and hospital stay. I am still trying to dig myself out of hundreds of E-mails. I will pray for Sydney and I hope she is doing better by now. We have so much love for the precious little children and don't want them to be sick in any way.
God be with you and Sydney's family.

My prayers are with Sydney and the whole family. I hope the problem is temporary. About 15 years ago I had some surgery on my face, and a month or so after about 1/3 of my hair fell out. I was horrified. Then months after that it all started growing out again. It drove my hairdresser crazy to have this halo of hair growing out within my other hair. My doc said that some people have this reaction to anesthesia. I've had other surgeries since and it hasn't happened again, but it was terrifying when it happened.
